The Great Gazebo Title

Gone in the Morning and the Story of the Great Gazebo

The first two days of the festival we enjoyed glorious sunshine but by Thursday evening rumours of rain were begininng to circulate about the campsite.

We had set up camp in a nice little spot with six to seven tents making a circle facing inwards so we could all socialise.

Our 'gathering' spot was ideal to cook, drink and have a great time....that was until the rain came!

Bad weather rolls in!

The bad weather started to roll in!!

Awaking on Saturday morning (maybe the afternoon....who knows!) to the pattering of rain on our tents we decided that it might be an idea to create a cover to go over the area where we sat to eat and drink

Off we went to Tescos to have breakfast and to ponder over our idea (and to get some baskets for seats......Cheers Tescos!)

Stopping off at the camping shop on the way back we bought some tarpaulin and some chairs.......yes chairs!

We got to work on building a gazebo by using bits of rope and some stakes we nicked from a nearby fence...Sshhhhh....Don't tell anyone ;-)

Finally the gazebo was ready

Warren: "Cheers everyone!"

After all that hard work we decided to have a drink to celebrate our achievement. It was at this drinking 'session' that we decided to name our creation.

Several ideas were bounced around, we were joking about what would happen to the gazebo once we left it to go and see a band.

It was at this point that Dave K came up with the idea 'Gone in the Morning' as that's what he thought would be the fate of the Gazebo.

Everyone agreed that this was a good idea hence we are the 'Gone in the Morning' Crew!.....and everyone lived happily ever after! :-)
